In April we were at Top Marques and we were already acquainted with a proto-version of Gemballa’s tuning package for the new Porsche 911 (991) Cabrio, but today the German tuner, founded by the late Uwe Gemballa, is officialy launched for sale. The most striking feature of this Gemballa-creation are the six exhaust pipes, a reference to the legendary Avalanche from the 80s. The appearances or the car is what needs to strike you, because the drivesystem is left untouched.This Carrera S delivers up to 400 hp and 440 Nm, which is not exactly slow.
Around this car a bodykit has been killed which costs no less then 19.600 euro’s. Why so much? The aerodynamic components are made of carbon fiber, which cost a lot.
Optional are 30 mm shorter springs, and an upgraded Brembo brake system. For a needed diversity alloy delivers a set of 21-inch Gemballa bangers (for larger units you can go elsewhere), which seem to weigh less than the 20 inch Porsch copies. Around this goes a 245/30 ZR21 or 305/25 ZR21-strap.
